A Sound Bath is a "meditative experience” for people of all ages and inclinations. Participants are invited to allow carefully orchestrated sound waves to "wash over” them. Since the sounds have no melody, rhythms, or lyrics the mind is able to relax. Many experience a release of stress, a sense of calmness, a deeper state of consciousness, or even a "bit of bliss”! All you have to do is turn off your cell phone, sit or lie down in a comfortable position, and turn down critical thinking, and, breathe. The session begins and ends with instruction to focus breath and attention, and to bring curiosity to the experience. Seven crystal singing bowls, toning frequencies said to align with energy centers in the body, are rung in different combinations to create the "sound bath”. Afterwards, it is advised to remain resting for a few minutes, to notice and enjoy the effects of the Sound Bath.
