Spiritual Direction is for you if you value being witnessed and supported on your spiritual journey. The descriptive "Spiritual Direction" is a bit mis-leading though, because I don't provide answers. I don't tell you how to interpret things, what to believe or to do. My training and experience enables me to offer myself as as "Spiritual Companion", focusing on meeting your experiences, perspectives, yearnings, and holy potential with sacred curiosity. And, with faith in your own innate wisdom.
I listen to your words as well as to the spaces between your words, asking questions that help you clarify what is most true for you. My listening deeply and holding faith in power of Presence emboldens you to connect with clarity, focus, purpose, healing, spiritual courage, compassion and joy.
Spiritual Direction is a supportive, confidential, non-directive way to explore the power and potential of one's own life as part of the web of creation. In these disruptive times it can help those who feel despairing to connect with a sense of purpose and of being empowered to make meaningful choices. Ultimately, it can help seekers grow into greater intimacy with the Divine (even if different words are used to describe "that with is eternal").
While some Spiritual Directors prefer to support people from within the framework of a particular faith tradition, I meet with people from all religious traditions - as well as those who identity as "spiritual but not religious".
My greatest joy is to accompany people as they name their own soul's yearning, and find their way to the beliefs and practices that nourish and sustain them. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are, to help you identify the ways in which Spirit is active in your life, and to support you in deepening your relationship with joyful purpose and meaning. Along the way, in order to create new openings for awareness and inspiration, I might offer prayer, meditation, poetry, energy work, ritual, or ideas for creative expression or movement. Mostly, I offer my faith in the sacred, unifying Mystery underling all diversity.

Individual monthly sessions can be in person in my office (Redwood City, CA), or via Zoom. Phone or email sessions can be arranged once we have established rapport.
